Don't buy a lemon

Private sales and dealer lots both hide problems that aren't visible in photos or a five-minute test drive. We find them before you pay.

Uncover hidden problems

From exhaust leaks to skipped fluid checks, our inspectors go through 8 systems on every vehicle, the same way every time.

Buy with confidence

Walk into the sale knowing exactly what you're getting — and exactly what to negotiate, if anything needs fixing.

How it works

Booked in minutes. Inspected within days.

01

Book online

Pick a package and tell us where the car is — a dealer lot, a private seller's driveway, anywhere in our service area.

02

We meet the vehicle

Our inspector arrives at the agreed time and goes through every system on the checklist, camera in hand.

03

You get the report

A clear, photo-backed report lands in your inbox — what passed, what needs attention, and what it'll cost to fix.

04

You decide, with data

Walk away from a bad deal, or use the report to negotiate a fair price. Either way, you're not guessing.

What we inspect

Eight systems. Zero guesswork.

Every InspectMyCar inspection follows the same structured checklist, so nothing gets missed because someone was in a hurry.

01

Exterior & Lights

Paint, panels, glass, and every light works the way it should.

02

Engine & Under Hood

Belts, hoses, battery, fluid levels, and a diagnostic scan for hidden fault codes.

03

Brakes

Pads, rotors, calipers, lines, and how it actually feels stopping the car.

04

Tires & Wheels

Tread depth, wear pattern, and whether an alignment issue is already showing.

Why it pays for itself

The report is also your negotiating leverage.

If we find an exhaust leak, a wheel alignment issue, or fluids that were never checked, that's not just a warning — it's a documented, priced reason to ask for a lower price or walk away entirely. Most issues we catch cost far less to know about upfront than to discover after you've already bought the car.

Questions

Good to know

Do you inspect the car wherever it is?

Yes. Tell us the address — a dealer lot, a private seller's home, anywhere within our service area — and an inspector meets you there.

How long does an inspection take?

Most inspections take under an hour on-site. Your full written report typically follows shortly after.

What if the seller says no?

A seller unwilling to allow an independent inspection is itself useful information. Most reasonable sellers — private or dealer — agree without issue.

Can I be there during the inspection?

Absolutely — you're welcome to attend and ask questions, or simply wait for the report if that's easier.
